Wallet

Wallet keeps accounts whose keys stay on your Home, controlled by your passkey. Apps never get your private keys.

Create an account

Select Create account and choose a type:

To bring back an account, choose Import Wallet recovery key.

The accounts list also shows MetaMask and UniSat, which you can Connect to approve in those wallets. Sending from Wallet works only for built-in accounts.

Send and receive

  • Receive shows your address.
  • Send works for built-in EVM accounts on Elastos Smart Chain and Base. Sending Bitcoin is not available yet.
  • Sending, deleting an account and exporting or importing a recovery key ask for your passkey.
  • Recent activity shows your transactions. Hide balances hides them on screen.

Prices

Wallet shows totals in USD, BTC or ELA. To get prices, Wallet asks in Inbox to use a price source. Nothing is fetched until an admin approves.

Your keys and the Recovery Kit

  • Built-in Wallet keys are stored encrypted on your Home.
  • Your Recovery Kit includes them. Add a password to the kit when you keep funds in Wallet.
  • A full backup of your data folder also contains every key. Protect it.
⚠️

Read the known limits before you keep large amounts in Wallet. Today, background services run with your computer account’s rights, and locking Home does not hide data from your computer.

Not in 2.0.0

  • WalletConnect is hidden until it is set up.
  • The Elastos identity chain (EID) is not shown in Wallet.

Essentials is the separate Elastos mobile wallet for ELA, staking and voting. It is not this Wallet. About ELA
