Using Home
Home is your ElastOS desktop. It opens in your web browser at http://localhost:8090/home/ and shows your Apps in a Dock, like a normal computer.
The Apps in 2.0.0
Every App asks the Runtime before it acts, and gets only what you grant. How Apps work
Opening links
When you select a web link in Chat, Documents or Assistant, Home first shows you the address. The link opens only when you choose Open link, or Open in Browser on a Mac that has the Browser App.
On a phone-sized screen
Screens 640 px wide or less get a touch layout: a Dock, one App at a time, full screen. Swipe down on the title bar to switch Apps, and long-press for menus.
A phone needs an HTTPS address for Home, because a phone cannot reach localhost on another computer. 2.0.0 does not set up that address yet. Today, the touch layout is for small browser windows on a computer.
Hidden in 2.0.0
Some parts are built but hidden until they are ready: Services (sharing AI models or Browser with contacts), WalletConnect, Approval Lens, Apps & Services in System, and the Archive tile. Library opens ZIP files itself.
