Library and sharing
Library shows the files on your Home. Your folders are Home, Desktop, Documents, Pictures, Videos, Downloads, Spaces and Trash, under Favorites. Public appears when it has items.
Everyday tasks
- Upload files and make a New folder.
- Right-click (or long-press) a file for Open, Open With, Download, Rename, Copy, Cut, Delete and Properties.
- Deleted files go to Trash. Restore brings one back. Empty Trash removes them for good.
- Files that no App opens, such as a PDF, can be downloaded.
ZIP archives
- Compress to ZIP makes an archive, up to 100 MB.
- Download as ZIP downloads a folder, up to 1 GB in total and 100 MB per file.
- Extract Here checks the archive before it writes anything. A very large or unsafe archive is refused.
Share with contacts
- Right-click a file and choose Share with contacts.
- Select Share.
Your contacts can get the file, up to 8 MiB, while your Home is running. Stop sharing ends the share. Contacts keep the copies they already have. Share again restarts it.
- Others must add you as a contact first.
- Files you receive are not passed on.
- Files no longer use the public IPFS network.
- Copies to your own other devices are not available yet.
⚠️
Library can lose a save if the same file is saved from two places at once, or is renamed, moved or deleted at the same time. Back up important files. See Data and backup.
