Remove ElastOS, keep your data

curl -fsSL https://elastos.elacitylabs.com/install.sh | bash -s -- --uninstall

This stops Home and removes:

  • the elastos command;
  • the Runtime, Apps and components, including the Browser image;
  • the trusted sources and the verified release.

The uninstaller also names the line the installer added to your login profile (it ends with # Added by the ElastOS installer) and the file that holds it. If that line is still there, delete it.

Your data folder stays, including Browser profiles. If you install again, you continue with the same identity.

If you installed with --install-dir, pass the same --install-dir to uninstall. An install or update that is running or was interrupted stops the removal. Finish it first.

Remove ElastOS and your data

⚠️

This deletes your identity, wallets and recovery material on this computer. Save your Recovery Kit first. It is the only way to restore that identity.

curl -fsSL https://elastos.elacitylabs.com/install.sh | bash -s -- --uninstall --remove-data

Linux: Browser host access from a test release

The uninstaller leaves any Browser host access that an earlier test release set up on Linux. To remove it:

sudo /usr/bin/python3 -I /usr/local/lib/elastos/browser-vm-linux-network.py remove --user "$(id -un)"
