First Login
Your complete guide to connecting your wallet and setting up your PC2 node.
Supported Wallets
PC2 uses Particle Network for authentication, supporting:
- MetaMask — Browser extension
- WalletConnect — Mobile wallets via QR
- Coinbase Wallet — Browser & mobile
- Social Login — Google, Twitter, Email
Recommended: MetaMask for the smoothest experience.
Login Flow
Open PC2
Navigate to your PC2 URL:
- Local:
http://localhost:4200 - VPS:
https://yourname.ela.city
Click Connect Wallet
The login screen shows “Connect Wallet” button.
Choose Your Wallet
Select your preferred wallet type from the modal.
Approve Connection
- MetaMask: Click “Connect” in the MetaMask popup
- WalletConnect: Scan QR with your mobile wallet
- Social: Complete OAuth flow
Sign Authentication Message
You’ll be asked to sign a message to prove ownership. This is free (no gas).
Setup Wizard (First Time Only)
On first login, you’ll see:
- Welcome — Introduction to PC2
- Choose Username — Select your
*.ela.citysubdomain - Save Recovery Phrase — Backup your 12-word phrase
- Complete — Ready to use!
Desktop Loads
You’re now in your personal cloud!
Setup Wizard Details
Username Selection
- Must be 3-20 characters
- Lowercase letters, numbers, hyphens only
- Cannot start/end with hyphen
- Must be unique (availability checked in real-time)
Your username becomes: yourname.ela.city
Recovery Phrase
Critical: Write down your 12-word recovery phrase and store it safely. This is the ONLY way to recover your node identity if you lose access.
The recovery phrase:
- Generates your node’s Ed25519 keypair
- Creates your DID (Decentralized Identifier)
- Can restore your identity on a new device
Click “Copy to Clipboard” and save somewhere secure.
Session Persistence
After login:
- Session lasts 7 days by default
- Survives page refreshes
- Works across tabs
- Stored in browser cookie
Multiple Devices
You can access your PC2 node from multiple devices:
- Open the same URL on another device
- Connect with the same wallet
- Sign authentication message
- You’re in the same cloud!
Wallet Sidebar
After login, hover on the right edge of the screen to open the wallet sidebar:
- Account — Wallet address, DID, balance
- Send — Transfer tokens
- Activity — Transaction history
Troubleshooting
Wallet Won’t Connect
- Check browser console for errors
- Try a different wallet
- Clear browser cache
- Disable VPN (can interfere with WalletConnect)
“Sign Message” Hangs
- Check wallet popup isn’t hidden
- Try disconnecting and reconnecting wallet
- Restart browser
Session Expired
Just connect your wallet again—your data is safe.
