🌐 Elastos SmartWeb

This accessible, open-source platform is designed to redefine internet functionality by empowering individuals to own and control their data. With its core technologies—blockchain, sidechain architecture, peer-to-peer networking, decentralized identity, community governance, and decentralized storage—Elastos SmartWeb provides W3C infrastructure that meets the standards and guidelines to enable data ownership, thus Elacity's monetisation vision of the access economy on top. Elacity has been instrumental in the development of Elastos' core infrastructure, leveraging extensive knowledge of the tools necessary for a user-owned internet.

💻 WebAssembly

WASM is a compact binary code format for the web, enabling near-native performance for web applications. It allows developers to code in multiple languages, not just JavaScript, while maintaining high security through its sandboxed execution environment. Coupled with seamless integration with JavaScript and excellent portability, WASM is redefining the possibilities of web applications, increasing their performance, versatility, and security. By utilizing WASM, high-performance applications can be run within secure digital capsules, offering users private, secure interactions while maintaining data ownership.

🔷 Ethereum

Ethereum, an open-source, blockchain-based platform, enables decentralized applications (dApps) and smart contracts—self-executing agreements written in code. Elacity uses Ethereum's Virtual Machine (EVM) to issue and trade Access Keys along with their associated rights using Smart Contracts. This new EVM system can optionally support Data Capsule rights decryption across multiple open EVM ecosystems like Polygon, Arbitrum, Binance Smart Chain, Polkadot, and more, thus bolstering secure, open and interoperable decentralized ownership and monetisation.

🗄️ The InterPlanetary File System

IPFS is a protocol and network designed to create a peer-to-peer method of storing and sharing hypermedia in a distributed file system. Its aim is to make the web faster, safer, and more open. Elacity employs IPFS for decentralized file storage of data capsules, enabling users worldwide to maintain a user-owned, federated database for the access economy. Using both public and private implementations of IPFS (the latter enabled by Elastos), Elacity ensures users have control over their data while providing globally accessible, reliable, distributed storage.

🎞️ Moving Picture Experts Group

MPEG sets standards for audio and video compression. Elacity is supporting shape MPEGs multimedia framework standards in the Web3 economy. Through innovations in Digital Rights Management technology, Elacity transforms blockchains into decentralized license servers for encrypted video player access. Moreover, Elacity enables Access Token trading, which manages specific rights through Ethereum's Virtual Machine Smart Contracts to grant licence fetching permissions.
Under the guidance of our advisor Dr Xin Wang - a key contributor to MPEG-21's REL (Rights Expression Language) standard and the primary author of the Contract Expression Language (CEL) - Elacity's Access Economy model has been presented at several MPEG meetings, including in Antalya, Turkey (April 2023); online (January 2023); Mainz, Germany (October 2022); and is next scheduled for Geneva (July 2023).

🌍 World Wide Web Consortium (W3C)

The World Wide Web Consortium (W3C) sets standards for universally accessible, user-friendly web technologies, such as HTML, CSS, XML, and SVG. These standards inform our work with innovations like the Elastos Decentralized Identity system, WebAssembly Runtime, and ClearKey DRM, ensuring interoperability and accessibility in web technologies.

🌌 Metaverse Standards Forum

The Metaverse Standards Forum is a non-profit consortium fostering interoperability standards for an open metaverse, encouraging cross-collaboration between organizations. It launches member-driven exploratory and domain working groups, each addressing key topics like '3D Asset Interoperability', 'Digital Asset Management', and more. Elacity, a member of the Metaverse Standards Forum, helps support the Digital Asset Management group, shaping standards for managing digital assets and playing a significant role in the evolution of the metaverse.
